Twelve Rasgueados: Right Hand Patterns for Common Rasgueos for the Flamenco Guitar
One strumming hand. Five fingers. So many possibilities for rasgueos, right? Here, in this tutorial, I will present to you 12 rasgueos that I think you should be familiar with. In fact, if these were the only rasgueos you ever learned, you would be more than well-equipped to tackle any palo, and any compás, like a pro!
Now a quick note: you might notice that the three-fingered rasgueo (a, m, i) is not included in this index, well…don’t worry, nor fret (pun intended); I cover that very common rasgueo briefly while reviewing rasgueado #1 😉.
You will also notice that I use the palo of Verdiales quite a bit to demonstrate the rasgueado patterns; this is because Verdiales tends to be a good for demonstrating the uniqueness of each rasgueado pattern. Enjoy!
Do you have a pdf of the 12 patterns? I happily bought your 7 strumming patterns for Rasgueado and found the pdf to be very useful
